What are you afraid of?
When FDR said, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" he'd obviously never seen Buttons. |

What's newer than the candy corn that people are buying right this second? Everything. What's new for me? Well, I've had quite an experience in my 3-d design class. It was so enlightening that its now the topic on my "education" page. Check it out. I went to Longwood to see Anthony and Sister Hazel and Vertical Horizon. The Highlight of the weekend was hanging around all day Saturday with the butt painted on Melissa's face by one of Keir's friends. So, I got to see Keir, my old friend and neighbor from Fairfax. Then last weekend we went to Richmond to warm Bridget's new house with some really good Mexican dip and Smoothies. I locked my keys in her car, so Melissa, Tori, and I had an awfully big adventure chasing them down and trying to get back from Richmond. During the UCAB dodge ball tournament, Tori and I went to cheer on the IT team "Brian's a Puss" (its the name, seriously) and during game two, the team realized they were short a girl. Inevitably, I lost the game. But its not whether you win or lose, its how you play. And I played like someone who'd just been in a car accident. Which brings us to the car accident. Tori and I were headed to the rec center to watch the game and this guy Ryan backed out of a space and got me in the rear passenger side. There were no injuries sustained and everyone knows the Thelma mobile is one big scratch, so no harm, no foul. Ryan also sent us a really nice e-mail apologizing for scaring me and Tori. Other than that, the only new stuff is the COSTUME PARADE under the boys and girls pages. The NEW EDUCATION PAGE, and of course, RED MEAT is updated once again. |
An Obituary The world lost a vital asset this weekend. The little red phone that worked so hard to keep people in touch was called home on Friday, October 10th at approx. 4pm.The end was not pretty. There was much beeping and gnashing of teeth. And for some reason that's yet to be explained, it repeatedly played the William Tell Overture near the end as a death rattle. (its assigned ring was "funga".) Official cause of death was repeated drowning. 1st from being dropped in a commode, secondly, drowned in the pocket of a raincoat on the way to the gym during the thunderstorm on Friday. The phone is survived by its loving owner Gretchen Quoss and by its loyal employers, Tori, Melissa, Bridget and Noah. So long old pal. |
This
Halloween, I'm on a health kick, which means no sweets for me. So what good
is Halloween without candy? Well, there's clever costumes, scary
movies, Hallow-scream at Busch Gardens, pumpkin carving--shout out to Pedro
the pumpkin, currently pimping on Noah's balcony--and best of all, ghost
tours. How could I pass up the opportunity to spend Halloween in
Williamsburg, arguably the most haunted town in Virginia?
Take Gretchen's Scary Scary Colonial Williamsburg Ghost Tour. |
The air is crisp, the
leaves are turning, everyone is stressed about mid-terms. I think we could all use a decent scare.
